OutLET: Play Resource is looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people to succeed
You will haves experience of working with young people from a wide range of backgrounds and will have an in-depth knowledge of the play work principles, Forest School ethos and trauma informed practice. The play ranger position is fully outdoors, and you must be comfortable working outdoors in all weathers.
In this role you will join a small team of outdoor practitioners who work with care experienced children and young people who need additional support in accessing and achieving in mainstream education.
As part of the team you will deliver outdoor learning programmes such as bushcraft and environmental programmes and nurture groups.
We are seeking a kind individual, who can be consistent in their interactions with young people. They will have excellent communication skills with both children and adults and work well in a small team.
This post will involve occasional evening and weekend work.
Essential – Driver with access to a car / PVG check.
Play Ranger Position – 14 hours per week, (expected to be Thursday & Friday) with options of overtime.
6-month contract with possibility of extension.
Home based, travel across Lanarkshire and other areas may be required.
