Jackie Simpson – Founder & Project Leader

Jackie founded OutLET: Play Resource in 2016, after seeing first hand the benefits that playing outdoors had on child development and mental wellbeing.
She is an experienced Forest School Leader who is passionate about using her skills to help people who need it most.

Jackie is also a trained Therapeutic Forest School Leader and Approved Provider.

Susan McNeish – Training Coordinator

Susan is a highly experienced Forest School Leader who has a passion  and talent for delivering training.

Prior to working with us, Susan was a Countryside Ranger and loves passing on her knowledge to others.

Forever playful, Susan can often be found up a tree.

Leigh Mackay – Forest School Leader

Leigh is a Level 3 Forest School Leader with a background in Education.
She has been pivotal in the delivery of the Growing Up Wild project, working with many young people accross South Lanarkshire.

Leigh is passionate about creating opportunities to help children thrive in education.

Jennifer McInnes – Play Ranger

After initially volunteering with OutLET: Play Resource. Jennifer joined our team at the start of Summer.

Jennifer has a passion for inclusivity and aparting practice to ensure that things are accessible for all children, young people and families.

Amongst other things, Jennifer will be supporting the delivery of our Therapeutic Forest School Programmes.

Helen Boyle - Chair

Helen Boyle is a local Countryside Ranger and Forest School Leader.  She has supported OutLET since our inception in 2016 and is a fountain of knowledge for all things outdoor learning!

As well as helping us – Helen is a proud granny to 2 lovely grandkids.

Joe Houghton

Joe is experieced in providing an out of school service, which he manages in 2 locations within Lanarkshire. He is passionate about the many benefits that providing regular access to nature can have on kids.

Louise Murdoch

Louise is a passionate advocate for children and young people and has a wealth of experience linking in with the wider third sector within Lanarkshire.

Hazel Sneddon

Hazel has over 10 years experience in working in Early Education and business management. She is passionate about promoting trauma focused and attachment led programmes for children and families.

Wendy Simpson

Now retired, Wendy previously coordinated a children’s charity and brings a wealth of third sector knowledge to our team.¬† Wendy cares deeply about ensuring children who are affected by disadvantage have access to services and opportunities.
