This summer we facilitated a programme for Water Works in Barrhead – This is ‘Grow Wild’s’ Flagship project in Scotland

Here is what they had to say about working with us!

Outlet: Play Resource – Kids Summer Club at the Water Works, Barrhead

We were delighted to have Outlet: Play Resource come and help run our 2017 summer holiday activity programme at the Water Works.

Following a series of outdoor events in the past there was clear demand for family friendly outdooractivities, with a summer holiday “kids club” was specifically requested through the Water Works Action Group.

Having secured modest funding we approached local ‘play providers’ to see what may be offered we were particularly impressed with OutLET: Play Resource’s proposal. This included a diverse range of activities including natural play, musical workshops and more family orientated events such Teddy Bear’s picnic and storytelling.

Jackie and the gang proved most capable in terms of taking the lead and ensuring all necessary preparation was in place. In total OutLET: Play Resource delivered seven different activities at the Water Works throughout late July and early August.

These proved incredibly popular with local people and were all very well received. As well as lots of happy people, we were thrilled to see the space being used in such a positive way, with different areas used for different types of play.

This was something we always envisaged and was wonderful to see this come to fruition.

As a project coordinator I am thrilled with the programme offered and the way OutLET: Play Resource conducted
themselves throughout.

I have no doubt that this has enriched the people who came along as well as
the Water Works as a place.
